Seems my mobile phone, a SonyEricsson K700i, is breaking apart. The wee joystick isn’t working properly and some of the keys are on strike for the moment. I’m going to take it apart to see if some clean air can make the fragile electronics behave better, but I think it’s time to start looking for a new device. I’ve initially written down a short specification, and here goes:
I need bluetooth since I want to be able to synchronize it with my PowerBook. Synchronizing needs to be as simple a task as possible so every phone NOT on Apples iSync list is out of the picture. Probably :-). I also need decent camera functionality; it doesn’t have to be able to take perfect pictures of setting suns or sport events, but it’s good if you clearly can make out what’s on the pictures. The phone I’m buying needs to be quite slender. Most 3G phones tends to be more brick than matchbox, but if it fits in the front pocket of my jeans together with a set of keys I’m ok with it. And finally: The Phone I’m buying must appeal to me and must be possible to use without the involvement of foul language. To be continued…
